Slovenian economy

Did you know that..

With its 2.1 million inhabitants, Slovenia offers a small e-commerce market. As in many other European countries, the fashion segment dominates online retailing, followed by electronics, food and personal care. 63 percent of Slovenians regularly shop online, and here too the trend is upward. It is interesting to note that around half of Slovenian online shoppers do not limit themselves to local offerings, but also regularly store at foreign stores.

English and German language skills are high in Slovenia, as these are taught as the first and second foreign languages at school. However, according to Slovenian law, information addressed to Slovenian customers must be available in Slovenian.Popular delivery services in Slovenia are Pošta Slovenije (52% of Slovenian online stores offer it), followed by GLS and DPD. The most popular payment method is cash on delivery – to be successful on the Slovenian market, you should definitely offer this payment option.
